This past week was one of the most exciting and memorable ones in kindergarten. It is when the kinders investigate worms. Some of the children start out being afraid until they learn about them and then they get such a kick out of touching the worms and using their magnifying glasses to really look up close. They are relieved when they find out they don't have teeth and no eyes or brain. Not too scary then. Ha!
I created this worm investigation unit which consists of science, math, language arts and a craft to add to the fun of our unit! Here is a little peek into this unit.
