2 Scoops has teamed up with some inspiring bloggers who want to share a great game, freebie and raffles with you. Just follow along and hop from blog to blog to grab some great ideas and a lot of freebies for your class to play and learn with.
I always like to incorporate a little fun each week by adding something extra to the curriculum that I feel my kiddos will enjoy.
This past week was no exception, my kindergarten class had a full week of Baseball fun! My kinders loved it! We read baseball stories, wrote about baseball, created a baseball rebus story, did baseball addition and subtraction problems. We also ran bases and counted how many hits we made and much more! We even wore our favorite jerseys to school one day.
My kiddos love to play, so they are always more engaged when we are playing a fun game. (Shh - don't tell them but we are always learning too!)

One of the games they really enjoyed was I Have, Who Has! During Math Centers I had a small group of five children. They set out four baseball I Have, Who Has cards in front of them. The group was of varied abilities which worked out because they were very happy to help each other. We went around the table taking turns figuring out our math problems until we got to the last card. When we were done, they all yelled "Let's do it again!" Not only were we having fun but we were also learning our math facts to 20. We had even more fun playing the second time around. If your class has never played this game before, you need to introduce them to it. I guarantee they will be asking to play it again and again!
