Hi Friends, hope all is well with all of you! I have been working on report cards, conferences, and creating this new packet, Composing & Decomposing Numbers 2 - 10 with Number Bonds, Number Stories & Pictures!
We have a new math curriculum and I am still getting to know it. I have showed my students number bonds but have never spent this much time on this topic at a time. I have to admit when I first heard decomposing & composing - I was not sure what the students were suppose to do. So I needed to create this for my students and also for myself.
I know it needed to be engaging to my little kiddos or they would not focus on this. So... I added real-life stories, fun pictures and enough room for them to write. I also wrote I can statements to clarify what decomposing is and composing!
