What a wonderful break I know I have had .... and I know Rick is too - he is in sunny Myrtle Beach (I'm a little jealous) any way.... I am starting to think about school in-between having fun and here is my Happy New Years bulletin board from last year that I put up when we get back.
The kinders start to think about their goals for the rest of the school year. They do a pretty good job when we brainstorm about counting in Math, reading longer stories, writing using spaces and capitals and periods....the list is long and they know(well..most of them and some I need to help out) where they are at and where they need to be by the end of the year. Those that exceed have first grade goals and they feel pretty proud of that! Here is a sheet for them to fill out and put under their Happy New Year face.
