Happy Groundhog's Day!

Not a surprise that the groundhog saw his shadow and we are going to have 6 more weeks of winter according to the legend.  I think everyone is working against us this year!  In my classroom we have embraced the snow and winter activities.  Most days we have been inside though but Friday being pajama day it was warm enough for them to go outside!  So they took off their slippers and had a blast outside in the snow.  Afterwards they came in and we wrote about everything they needed to wear in the snow that kept them warm and read, The Jacket I Wear in the Snow.

For Groundhog's day one of my favorite things to do is to make a silhouette of each child.  I am amazed at how beautiful they turn out.
